Music Video Editing: Split screen with colour change and freeze

To make a section of our narrative more interesting, we have created an effect where the screen is split in three sections and as one fade in the previous one freezes.
It also changes contrast to sepia.

 This involved creating freeze frames of the sequence each time we wanted the other cropped section to take over. Once they were layered over each other it gave the effect that once one footage had finish the other section took over.

We believe the end effect worked well with both continuing the dream effect and keeping the audience's attention throughout.
