In order to break up an instrumental piece, we created a horizontal split screen making the centre footage stretch out to become the ending shot before swapping back into the narrative scenes.
The involved controlling the crop section of the centre frame and enabling it to expand as the other two fade out at the same time. Although this was complex, we are extremely happy with the end result.
