Music Video Filming: Results from our first day

As we used Gemma in our narrative piece for this day, I took the role of director for this side of the narrative.
Although I held this position, we still discussed each shot and result to ensure that they worked for both of us as it is our joint project.

As director, I took charge of ensuring all framing was accurate and all the footage was perfect. Due to our good storyboarding - we were able to film each frame efficiently without any delay as we had them listed all out for us on our shoot list.

We used two locations for this narrative:
  • Elsenham Train Station
  • Flitch Way (Hatfield Forest) in Takeley
Our most difficult location was Elsenham. On the flitch way we were disturbed only a few times and it all went smoothly following the storyboards. However at Elsenham station, we had the issue of not getting anyone else in the frame, finding an empty door to film at and doing all of this fast enough so Gemma didn't have to stay on the train.
We have done this because we filmed all the scenes with the same characters on the same day to make it easier for us to complete.
