Live Performance Practice: Strangers

Preparing for our live filming performance with Strangers proved very difficult as we were very unaware what to expect. For example, we did not have any experience of their performance techniques and even if we were able to have knowledge we would not be able to control them. This proved planning camera shots very difficult.

However, we have tried our best to position our cameras in main locations surrounding our stages to gather ongoing footage. Our two main static camera will be above the band filming a bird's eye shot of the instruments and one on the other side of the area on the balcony to film a clear shot of all three of the band members as well as zooming in and out to achieve both long shots and medium/close up shots. Our two moving camera will be surrounding the band. One of them will be using a dolly to film around the semi-circle of the staging area to get different angles of our band as well long shots to extreme close ups. Our last camera will be handheld and used to film our extreme close up shots of both the band and their instruments.

With this planning we should be able to overcome any problems we receive with the band on the day.
