Narrative Theory: The 'Hollywood' Narrative Structure

This is the typical layout which is suppose to represent a story of most mainstream narratives.

Exposition and Development:
This is where the protagonists and antagonists are identified and introduced to the audience.

Conflict:
The clash between the protagonists and antagonists which created the divide.

Elaboration:How the storyline progresses.

Climax and Resolution:
The conclusion to the conflict.

Coda:
A chance for there to be another narrative to follow, for example, a cliff hanger.
